It's pretty easy to see how current events would have any JW convinced the end is imminent, but I just don't see how there could be a major push for zealous service, pioneering, etc. decades into the future. Even if (when) world events happen periodically that could scare the R&F, there are now countless hours of HD video of JW leaders saying how close the end is. It just doesn't have that same quant look of a tattered, yellow book or a fuzzy film that can be more easily excused as the light getting brighter. It makes the lies all the more real and preserves them for posterity. Maybe that's just my wishful thinking? What are your thoughts?

JWs don't have any problems
by neat blue dog inthey never get disgruntled and leave, they never abuse children, they never sleep around or steal.
because if they were a true jehovah's witness they wouldn't do that, and if they do something wasn't right with them to begin with.
anybody else heard this "logic"?

Anybody else heard this "logic"? 😅 It truly is a way to get out of anything!
Only problem is, it can also be used for other religions. Similar to the "imperfect men" excuse: Whenever there's a false prophecy or an organizational mishandling it's because they're imperfect men . . . But anyone else it's because they're "false religion".

Being a whore is empowering, don't slut-shame her! On the other hand the guns on that shirt are problematic.

The Governing Body like todays Democraps
by mickbobcat inthe governing body is a lot like today's dems.
they want to keep the rank and file in a permanent dependent state.
keep them stupid and dependent and they can rule them forever.

it would be more like Saudi Arabia
More like North Korea with the staged photo ops and closeted assassinations instead of out in the open.

He's saying they're all 'pre-existing' prophecies, and therefore JWs haven't originated any NEW prophecies and therefore aren't prophets. This isn't true however.
Example 1: The Great Tribulation & "this generation" - In this prophecy by Jesus, he clearly said that it had never happened before and 'nor will occur again', so they are making a new fulfillment.
Example 2: 1925 - This was based on counting jubilee years etc. and was not even based on a prophecy to begin with. Therefore, it is a wholely original prophecy, and was said to be 'confidently expected' to come true.
More examples could be cited, but all that is needed is one. Deuteronomy clearly and simply states that anyone who claims to speak 'in the name of Jehovah' and who's words don't come true is a false prophet and is to be ignored.

Every single action of God happened in this CIRCLE
by pistolpete init looks kind of suspicious that everlasting life- death - paradise earth - heaven - salvation - angels - god- jesus -sin-the devil-the truth came from only this location.
(see the circle on the map).

Not true. Jesus appeared to the Nephites in what is today known as Utah, and Jehovah appointed the Faithful Slave in New York some centuries later.

That's a hilarious analogy, I like that 🤣
